Gluten-free Corn Pasta

Penne Rigate

Vitalia’s gluten-free corn pasta Penne Rigate is pasta for the whole family! Produced by using only natural ingredients, this pasta has the same excellent taste as standard pasta. Vitalia’s gluten-free pasta has low-fat content and does not contain preservatives, artificial colors, salt or allergens.

Suitable for gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian diet.

Preparation: Put 80g of pasta into 1 L of boiled water and cook for 10-12 minutes.

For a complete meal we recommend this eggplant and tomato pasta recipe:


- 250g of Vitalia’s gluten-free Penne Rigate

- 1 small onion

- 2 garlic cloves

- ½ bunch of fresh basil leaves

- 2 eggplants

- 4-6 tbsp of Vitalia’s unrefined sunflower oil

- 400g chopped tomatoes

-80g ricotta cheese or unsalted whey cheese (urda)

- 1 tbsp of Vitalia’s integral sesame seeds

-2 tbsp of Vitalia’s Vita Spice

Preparation method:

Tomato sauce: peel the garlic and onion and chop it finely along with the basil leaves. Add to a pan with pre-heated oil and sauté for 2-3 minutes.  Add the chopped tomatoes, 300 ml of water, 2 tablespoons of Vita Spice and cook at 100®C for around 30 minutes.

Peel the eggplants, cut them into lengthwise slices, fry in some oil and then add the eggplant slices to the tomato sauce. Add the pasta to the finished tomato-eggplant sauce and decorate with ricotta cheese, integral sesame and basil leaves.
