VITALIA – the only Macedonian company participant at EBRD Forum in Rome

On 05 – 06 June 2008, the health food company VITALIA Nikola ltd participated at the Western Balkan Strategic Forum organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance from Italy in cooperation with the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

At the Forum titled EBRD Western Balkans Strategic Forum, apart from VITALIA representative, representatives from Macedonian Ministry of Economy, the economy ministers of Austria and Slovenia, EBRD Vice President Horst Reichenbach, EBRD Board Director for Italy Enzo Quattrociocche as well as other representatives from other renowned institutions and companies from Italy and other EU countries participated in the panel discussion.

VITALIA was invited as the only company from Macedonia which established partnership with EBRD in starting the investment projects through the newly formed EBRD Fund - Italy Western Balkan Local Enterpsise Facility (WBLEF).

Topics related to the economic developemnt of the Balkan, investments and perspectives, development of domestic companies, investing in the energy efficiency and regional energy were only part of the topics discussed at the forum. The focus of the presentation given by Ms Iskra Vetadzkoska, export manager of VITALIA, were the trend and developement of the health food insutry, the regional market, the position of VITALIA in the region and abroad as well as the future company’s plans and challanges in the framework of EBRD partnership. The presentation was positively assessed by senior representatives of EBRD, the council of Europe, EU and the governments of EU countries.

The forum aimed to discuss the current economic developments in the Western Balkan countries focusing on the concrete steps for improving the situation.
