Barley flakes are a natural and healthy food with no additives or conservatives. They abound in nutrients typical of the barley grain, such as: carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. No added sugar.
With its biochemical content, it comes close second to the other cereals, while it beats them with some other characteristics. The barley contains 35% unsaturated fatty acids which is not the case with any other cereal. It is rich in vitamins (A, B, D, E), especially B12, which is not present in products of vegetable origin; minerals (potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, sodium, sulphur, iron, manganese, copper, zinc, cobalt, iodine); carbohydrates 73.4%; proteins 11%; fats 1.8%, enzymes, and other ingredients.
Serving suggestion: pour 4 tablespoons of flakes into a bowl and add 250-300ml yogurt, milk or tea. Consume after 20 minutes.
